With the holiday season upon us, we can’t help but reflect on the past year. In 2021, CARF had many successes but many difficulties as well. So far it’s been a year of amazing highs but also some devastating lows. We were able to successfully rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome over 50 dogs. But due to the pandemic, we also saw a drop in donations and volunteers. Our important work would not be possible without the amazing support from our loyal supporters, volunteers, foster families, adopters, and social media friends. They say it takes a village, and that has never been more true.

All items can be dropped off at Claus Clinic, Anasaweg 7 in Dominguito (nearby Vreugdenhil.) Claus Clinic is open Mondays till Fridays from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM. On Saturdays, Claus Clinic is open from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
3. Foster a Dog
Foster homes are at the heart of our ability to save lives. With a commitment of just a few weeks, you can rescue a homeless dog and help it become a well-loved companion. Temporary foster care gives our rescues a second chance at life. There are always dogs at CARF who need foster care. We provide food, toys, collars, leashes, medical care, and support.

4. Adopt a Dog
When you adopt a CARFIE, you’re saving a life. Plus, you are helping to make space for another dog in need! Contact carf.adoption@gmail.com for more info about our adoptable dogs or our adoption process.
5. Virtually Adopt a Dog
Can’t adopt? Not able to foster? Too busy to volunteer? Our Virtual Adoption Program allows you to adopt a dog “on paper” for an amount of ƒ100,- / €50,- / USD60,- / CAD70,- a month. This covers the cost of food, veterinary care, and monthly tick, flea, and heartworm preventative. With your help, they can continue to enjoy a carefree life until they find their forever family! We also take care of several dogs who are unlikely to get adopted, because of chronic disease, old age, or extreme fearfulness ― they would love your support.

A symbolic adoption makes a great present for the dog lovers on your gift list! You will receive a digital certificate of adoption with the name and picture of your dog of choice, as well as your own name or the name of the person you gift it to.
