Needless to say, 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone. The year started off OK, but quickly shifted ― our CARFIES know all about it! What month are you? #2020 #IsItOverYet

Scarlett is a 3-year old dog who came into our care 1,5 years ago. Scarlett was kind of shy at first, but our volunteers know what they're doing! Time, patience, and positive reinforcement in the form of doggy treats will get you a long way. These days, she is a very happy dog who greets everyone and is as sweet and loyal as they come! CARFIE Of The Week: Scarlett
Scarlett is a 3-year old dog who came into our care 1,5 years ago. When we first rescued her, she was pregnant. Fortunately, there was a foster family available and willing to take her in.

? Who remembers the dog cookie sale by our dear friend and loyal supporter Marjolein Berends? Due to the global pandemic, we were going to let our 12th anniversary pass us by but Marjolein had different plans! She spent an entire weekend in the kitchen baking doggy treats and working hard to raise €1.875 to buy preventives against ticks, fleas, and heartworm for our CARFIES. Thanks to HER hard work and YOUR donations, we were gifted all these boxes of NexGard Spectra! We have the best supporters in the world and we are so grateful for each and every single one of you ❤️ #CARFsupporters #CARF12Years

A new month is here but before we officially welcome August, we wanted to take a moment to thank all of our friends and supporters who have made a donation over the last month. ?
July was not an easy month us. Adoptions have been slow while intakes have been overwhelming. As you might know, we took in some emergency cases who required immediate medical care (#CARFEmilia being one of them). And we haven't even mentioned our day-to-day operations yet. Well, what can we say... stray rescue doesn't get a summer vacation! ?
CARF receives no government funding and our budget is based entirely on the amount of donations we receive from the public. We wouldn’t be able to help the suffering dogs on Curaçao if it wasn’t for you! So thank you. Thank you for your trust, your support, your loyalty, and your donations. ❤️

Did you know today is National Mutt Day? Here on Curaçao, we refer to our mixed breed dogs as #Westpointers. Westpointers are just as sweet, smart and watchful as purebred dogs ― plus they come in all kinds of sizes and they make super loyal pets! ? #MuttDay
