The purpose of this event is to give a helping hand to the community of animal organizations that work towards the education of the general public concerning the proper treatment of animals and also to the animal organizations that actively work towards the sterilization and castration of stray animals and to help those that cannot afford to have their pets operated on. CARFIE OF THE WEEK: PIEN ♀
One thing about Pien: once she knows and trusts you she is all love. Pien is about 2,5 years old. With her shoulder height of 50cm, she is a smaller size sheepdog, which she compensates for with her big heart. Pien has been in our care for well over a year now, but she's ready to move to her forever home.
Pien, how are you doing?
"I'm good, thank you. When I was first rescued by CARF, they helped me recover from a broken paw. I had a splint for several weeks and, I won't lie, I destroyed several cones. Although in my defense, that really was a team effort as my furry housemates helped me. My splint was removed last year, and the vet made sure I was also spayed, micro-chipped and vaccinated. I'm healthy and feeling great!"
What do you look for in a human?
"I don't ask for much, really. Just someone to love, care for, and love me back in return. I guess I might need some time to get used to new people and settle into my new home, but once I'm comfortable around you, I am very loyal. Pinky-paw-swear."

"That's simple. Just send an email to stichtingcarf@gmail.com, I check this email regularly and my human friends also keep a close eye on incoming mail. I would love to get invited to a meet-and-greet or answer any questions you might have about me."

Spa day for Drake...
Spa day for Drake ??
It was probably his first bath ever but he took it all in like a champ ! He had a nice medicated bath and a pat down (not a rub down due to his irritated skin) and we applied some oil to help moisturize his dry and scaly skin.
He looks so much better already. Drake is still a bit shut down but is fortunately very responsive to his fosters.
He’ll get there..... ??

Die kleintjes drinken praktisch aan één stuk door en ze kan alle extra ondersteuning goed gebruiken.
Anyone of our Curacao friends able to donate a container of ESBILAC puppy formula for Maggy and her 10 babies ? They are sucking her dry and she can really use all the extra nutrients.

He is a bit more alert and follows us with his sweet eyes when he is awake. Breathing is still labored, he is weak, but that will take time.

Mama Maggy is exhausted and has some discomfort due to birthing so many babies.
Both Maggy and her little ones are stable.
So far, so good.

After keeping us in suspense for 2 weeks Mama Maggy finally gave birth today. Today, on our 11th anniversary. 11 pups, one for each year fighting the good fight. Unfortunately one baby did not make it.
