Another Day in Paradise | Welcoming New Puppies to the CARF Family
Things might have seemed quiet on our end these last few weeks. But in between our “normal” daily responsibilities towards our CARFIES, we have been busier than ever.
Please welcome just a fraction of the new puppies we have taken on and which have joined the CARF family. We have been working so hard on getting them ready for vetting. Treating bloody stool, skin issues, getting rid of intestinal parasites, you name it. All these pups have now been vetted, meaning they have been age appropriately vaccinated, dewormed (twice), micro-chipped, and treated for tick and fleas.
This is a desperate plea to all our supporters near and far. Please share these adorable little puppies so that we can find them responsible lifetime homes. Either on or off shore.
The veterinary expenses we are incurring with these babies are huge. We are feeding them proper puppy kibble and providing all the necessary supplies like bowls, pens, crates (for crate training) toys, collars, leashes etc.
The vetting alone for each pup has cost us to date approximately Nafl. 150, which equals US$85 or €75. We are in dire need of your generosity to help us cover these expenses. We have over 150 dogs in our care!

Wellicht leek het de afgelopen weken heel stil aan onze kant. Maar in alle werkelijkheid hadden wij het naast alle dagelijkse verantwoordelijkheden naar onze CARFIES, drukker dan ooit.
Wij hebben onlangs een hele nieuwe lading pups opgenomen. We hadden er onze handen vol aan om de puppiy's gezond genoeg te krijgen voor de nodige vaccinaties. Ze hadden allemaal allerlei parasieten, huid aandoeningen, bloederige ontlasting, etc.
Inmiddels zijn al deze knapperds grondig onderzocht door onze dierenartsen en voorzien van alle nodige prikjes, ontwormingskuren, tekenbehandelingen en micro-chips.
Nu zijn we naarstig op zoek naar veilige en liefdevolle adoptie (of foster) gezinnen voor deze schatjes!
Het opnemen van deze kleintjes heeft ook de nodige kosten met zich meegebracht. Elke pup heeft tot nu aan medische handelingen alleen al ongeveer Nafl. 150 (zo'n €85,-) gekost. We hebben het niet over puppy brokjes en alle andere benodigheden zoals bakjes, halsbandjes, riempjes, speeltjes, benches en puppy rekjes.
Mocht u iets kunnen missen om te helpen met de dierenarts kosten zouden wij dat enorm op prijs stellen. Alle beetjes helpen en samen staan we nog sterker!

Update CARFIE Bram: Operatie Geslaagd, Nu Hard Werken Aan Revalidatie
Even een update over CARFIE Bram. Zoals jullie misschien weten is onze Bram gevonden met een opengebarste balzak die zwaar onstoken was, een hele zere heup die uit de kom was, zware karpattenziekte én een stuk hagel in zijn bil. Zijn heup was op Curaçao niet te herstellen, dus hebben we besloten om hem naar Nederland te vliegen waar hij wel geholpen zou kunnen worden. Twee weken geleden is Bram naar de orthopeed geweest.
