CARF CURAÇAO: 11 YEARS OF RESCUING & REHOMING DOGS
Today is a very special day for us as it marks our 11th Anniversary ― but not just our organization's founding. Because CARF is Curaçao's first hands-on, no-kill rescue organization, this milestone marks the very origins of dog rescue on our island!
Since May 29th, 2008, we have rescued unwanted, abandoned, neglected, stray, injured and sick dogs wherever we were needed. Today, we look back on 11 years of rescuing and re-homing thousands of dogs.
But we also want to take this moment to thank you for loyally following us on Facebook and Instagram, for cheering with us through our successes, and mourn with us through our heartbreaks. Your support has allowed us to rescue, vet, spay, neuter and adopt countless dogs who would have otherwise never known love. We couldn't do any of this without our tremendous donors, sponsors, and fellow animal advocates. This day is as much about you as it is about us. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU.
Our biggest wish remains that one day we won't be needed anymore. Until then, we hope that we can continue to count on your support. Whether it’s through an adoption, a one-time donation, a recurring monthly donation, or simply by helping us to spread the word ― every little bit helps.

This beat up fella just joined the CARF family and he needs your urgent help ! He is in very bad shape and we will do all we can to save him.
For now we are calling on our supporters, friends and family to please spare a donation of any amount so we can provide him with the necessary medical attention, proper food and supplements as he’s also extremely anemic. This is just heartbreaking !!

Rusty on the mend...
Rusty on the mend ?
Rusty was picked up on the streets in really bad shape. We treated him for tick fever, parasites and painful mange, skin and eye infections. Just a few months later, Rusty is looking so much better. He has now been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and full bloodwork has been done and he really is new man! Look at his beautiful new coat and the new joy in his eyes.
Rusty is a very quiet and chilled out dog. Although we estimate his age at just two years, he likes nothing more than sitting quietly with people and getting a little bit of love and affection. Rusty enjoys going for walks and car rides and he is friendly and confident around other dogs.

This handsome fella is Gary ?. He had a bad start in life and came to us underweight, ridden with parasites, mange, tickborne disease and miserable. Now he is the picture of health with a gleaming, shiny coat and a real zest for life.
3-year-old Gary has bundles of energy and loves running and playing, especially with toys! He will make an ideal companion for an active person who has the time to bring him for regular walks and spend quality time with him.
Gary enjoys being around people and will form a close bond with his new owner or family. He didn’t get much love or affection in his early life so he is overjoyed when people take the time to pet and cuddle him. Gary has been with us for more than a year and we would love to see him settled in the home he deserves.
