Kas has left his puppy years behind him, he is about 6 years old and is looking for a committed relationship. Someone to grow older with! ? UPDATE 2: Emma is drinking and eating little amounts with support. It might seem small but we consider it a milestone. The poor girl weighs barely 6 kilos and has clear neurological damage. She physically cannot move herself yet without support from our volunteers.
? We sit with her and wonder how long she has been in this pain. And we can’t get ourselves to think about how much longer she could have possibly lasted out there. We try to stay positive and focus on the fact that someone did see her and did ask for help!
? We really appreciate everyone’s donations and well wishes. We’ll try to respond to all of the comments and messages but we find ourselves without sufficient time to answer them all. We will post regular updates about Emma as we know many of you care!

? UPDATE: By some miracle little Emma has made it through the night. She is still extremely weak and fighting for her life. Please keep Emma in your thoughts as her condition remains critical. She has shown that she wants to live, and our volunteers, together with our veterinary team, are doing their utmost best to make that happen!
?? We do not have the funds to pay for her urgent care. With a vet bill already very high and our lovely vets doing all they can, we really need some angels to help us continue what we do.

? No words can describe the suffering of this poor dog. Earlier today she was spotted at the parking lot of The Emma Church in Rio Canario; severely emaciated, extremely weakened, and totally helpless. We received a plea for help and went out to find her. She is so thin, so frail, so fragile. It looks like she could be knocked over by the wind. We’ve named her Emma.
? Emma is currently on a drip and receiving veterinary care. We're not sure yet if she is going to make it but we are determined to save her life and will do everything within our power to help.

What can we tell you about 2019? Well, it was a busy and challenging year in dog rescue — we were full, everyone was full. We've struggled, got our hands dirty, got our hearts broken (more than once), but we rescued many dogs and fortunately, found loving homes for a bunch of them.
These are the nine pictures that received the most reactions these last twelve months. We're seeing rescued puppies, before & after shots, and even CARFIES going out for gelato.
